Jazz Voices with Jagoda Rózycka - A tribute to Carmen McRae

Jagoda Rózycka & Luís Lélis invite you to an intimate concert series dedicated to the greatest female voices in jazz history. Each Tuesday, a new legend is celebrated - her songs, her soul, her story - brought to life through the musicality and devotion of two artists who love this music deeply.

In tonight's concert, Jagoda Różycka & Luís Lélis present the repertoire of Carmen McRae, whose sophisticated phrasing, impeccable sense of rhythm, and deeply expressive interpretations made her one of the finest storytellers in jazz. Renowned for bringing wit, elegance, and emotional nuance to every song, her recordings remain a masterclass in the art of jazz vocals. A night of sophistication, intimacy, and a heartfelt tribute to one of the most distinctive voices in jazz history.

Jagoda Różycka is a Polish jazz vocalist based in Lisbon, known for her warm stage presence, expressive interpretations of the Great American Songbook, and deep appreciation for the legendary female voices who shaped the history of jazz. Joining her on piano is Luís Lélis, a Portuguese jazz pianist known for his lyrical touch, refined musicality, and deep appreciation for the jazz tradition.
