Jazz Nights by The Midnight Espresso is a live jazz session designed for those who value atmosphere, artistry and quality over crowds. With only 44 tickets available, this experience brings you up close to exceptional musicians while you enjoy expertly crafted cocktails in a historical setting.

Hermon Mehari is an award-winning jazz trumpeter known for his distinctive voice in contemporary jazz, blending deep musicality with a strong sense of narrative and cultural identity. Drawing inspiration from his Eritrean heritage, his work explores rich harmonic, rhythmic, and emotional landscapes, most notably in albums such as Asmara, which reflects both personal reflection and cultural connection, and A Change For the Dreamlike, a more introspective project shaped by the experience of isolation and collaboration with a wide range of international musicians.

Widely recognized for his lyrical approach and modern sound, Mehari has established himself on the international jazz scene through acclaimed recordings like Bleu and collaborations with leading artists across the globe. Winner of the 2015 Carmine Caruso International Trumpet Competition and a finalist in major jazz competitions, he continues to perform worldwide as both a leader and sideman, while also contributing as an educator and artistic director.

For this jazz night, Hermon Mehari will be joined by pianist Hugo Lobo. Hugo Lobo is a young jazz pianist from Portugal, one of the promising names of the Portuguese jazz scene, already well present on both the Portuguese and European stages.
